N. Korea's No.2 leader to visit three African nations

SEOUL, March 27 (Yonhap) -- North Korea's ceremonial head of state Kim Young-nam left Saturday for a visit to Gabon and two other African countries, the country's media reported.

The North's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Kim, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, will also visit Gambia and Senegal but gave no further details, including the purpose of the trip.

In May last year, Kim visited South Africa and Zimbabwe. In March 2008, he visited Angola, Congo Uganda and Namibia.
