SEOUL (Yonhap) -- The following is a chronological review of major developments related to North Korea between April 8-14.
8 Preparations for the 2nd April Spring People's Art Festival are made in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK/ North Korea) to commemorate the Day of the Sun, the birth anniversary of late President Kim Il-sung (April 15).
8 The (North) Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says leader Kim Jong-Il was presented with a floral basket by the family of Zhang Weihua, an anti-Japanese revolutionary martyr of China, on the occasions of the Day of the Sun and the 17th anniversary of his election as chairman of the National Defense Commission of the DPRK.
