SEOUL, April 24 (Yonhap) -- The body of one missing sailor was found in the salvaged bow of a South Korean naval ship Saturday as the wreckage was raised from the sea, a military source said.

The body has yet to be identified, the source said on condition of anonymity.

So far, the bodies of 40 sailors have been found, and six more sailors are still missing.

The 1,200-ton patrol ship Cheonan broke in two and sank on March 26 near the tense maritime border with North Korea. The ship's stern was salvaged last week, and the bow was being lifted Saturday.
