Korean language Web site adds service in Russian, Indonesian

SEOUL, April 4 (Yonhap) -- King Sejong Institute, a government-certified Korean language learning institute, has added Russian and Indonesian to the languages available on its Web site, bringing the total number to eight including English and Chinese.

King Sejong Institute or "Sejonghakdang" is a state-funded educational institute that teaches Korean language and culture to foreigners. It has 165 domestic campuses and 456 campuses in foreign countries in addition to offering online courses through its Nuri-Sejonghakdang service at www.sejonghakdang.org.

The institute's Nuri-Sejonghakdang is a Web site where Korean teachers can upload and download educational materials. Users of the site can search and download materials and save the contents at "My Study Room."

A culture ministry official said the ministry will make efforts to help foreign students and Korean language teachers easily access information about Korean language education and culture and continue to update the educational materials.
