SEOUL (Yonhap) -- The following is a chronological review of major developments related to North Korea from June 20-26, 2013.

June

20 The Ministry of the People's Armed Forces holds a film show in honor of the military attaches corps in Pyongyang with the approach of the June 25 through July 27 month of the anti-U.S. joint struggle.

20 Alexandr Timonin, Russian ambassador to North Korea and staff members of his embassy do friendly work at the DPRK-Russia Friendship Kochang Co-op Farm in Chollima District, Nampho City.

20 Agricultural workers and members of the women's union hold meetings at the Sinchon Museum in South Hwanghae Province and the Susan-ri House of Class Education in the Kangso District, Nampho City, swearing to take revenge on the U.S. with the approach of June 25, the starting day of the Korean War.

20 The (North) Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says teenagers who came back to North Korea while being taken away to the South after being kidnapped by South Koreans had round-table talks at the Koryo Hall of Compatriots.

20 The Turf Research Center which has been built under the State Academy of Sciences at the initiative of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un opens in a ceremony.

21 The KCNA claims the South Korean forces have become all the more undisguised in their acts of alluring and abducting citizens of the North Korea.

21 Rodong Sinmun blasts U.S. redeployment of its biochemical unit in South Korea.

21 Employees of factories and enterprises and members of co-op farms in various parts of the country hold rallies to vow to devotedly carry out the important tasks set forth by Kim Jong-un.

21 Minju Joson claims the move by the U.S. and South Korea to set up a "combined field command" is a cunning ploy mocking and insulting the Korean nation and the world and demanded the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from South Korea.

22 Kim Jong-un gives field guidance to the Kanggye General Tractor Plant.

22 The military attaches corps in Pyongyang visit the truce village of Panmunjom on the occasion of the June 25 through July 27 "month of anti-U.S. joint struggle."

22 A delegation of the Kim Ii-sung Socialist Youth League leaves Pyongyang to take part in the second international preparatory meeting for the 18th World Festival of Youth and Students to be held in Spain.

22 Kim Yong-nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), sends a message of greeting to Henri, grand duke of Luxemburg, on the occasion of its national day.

22 Kim Kye-gwan, first-vice minister of Foreign Affairs, returns home after visiting China.

23 The KCNA says the head of the North Korean delegation to the 38th Conference of the General Assembly of the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) made a speech on June 19.

23 More rallies are held at industrial establishments, co-op farms across North Korea to vow to devotedly carry out the important tasks set forth by Kim Jong-un.

23 Rodong Sinmun says the new historic advance for creating "Masikryong Speed," or a surge in development, is being made in North Korea and called it a grand general offensive.

23 Kim Jong-un gives field guidance to the Kanggye General Precision Machine Plant and Jagang Machine Tool Plant.

23 Kim Jong-un enjoys an art performance given by the Moranbong Band, together with workers of Jagang Province.

24 The KCNA says a Pyongyang City meeting took place at the Central Hall of Workers in Pyongyang on June 23 to mark the 40th anniversary of President Kim Il-sung's work "Let Us Prevent a National Division and Reunify the Country".

24 Premier Pak Pong-ju makes field surveys of the work of the Tanchon Magnesia Factory, Tanchon Smeltery and Tanchon Port in South Hamgyong province.

24 The KCNA says many people from all walks of life, including servicepersons and schoolchildren, have visited the Susan-ri House of Class Education with the approach of June 25, the day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists.

24 Foreign Minister Pak Ui-chun meets with German Ambassador to the DPRK Gerhard Thiedemann, who paid a farewell call to him at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang.

24 Premier Pak Pong-ju makes field surveys of production in mines and other industrial establishments and the work for preventing damage in the rainy season, while touring different places of Komdok area.

24 The History Society of the DPRK releases a memorandum disclosing the true colors of the U.S. imperialists as provoker of the Korean war with the approach of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

25 North Korean newspapers dedicate editorials to June 25, the day when the U.S. imperialists started the Korean war to invade North Korea.

25 Rodong Sinmun says quite a long period has passed since the ceasefire, but the Korean nation has been exposed to constant danger of war posed by the U.S. imperialist aggressors,

25 Pyongyang University of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts and Beijing Film Institute adopt an agreement on establishing friendly relations.

25 Kim Yong-nam sends a message of greeting to Ivo Josipovic, president of Croatia, on the occasion of its national day.

25 A meeting of youths and students who vow to take revenge upon the U.S. aggressors is held at the Compound of the National House of Class Education in Pyongyang.

25 Choe Ryong-hae, director of the General Political Bureau of the (North) Korean People's Army (KPA), makes field surveys of the construction of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, the Mirim Riding Club and the Munsu Wading Pool in Pyongyang.

25 A Pyongyang City mass rally takes place at Kim Il-sung Square in Pyongyang on "the occasion of the day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists."

26 A DPRK military delegation led by Kim Kyok-sik, the chief of the General Staff of the KPA, leaves Pyongyang to visit Cuba.

26 The KCNA says in a bid to legitimate the Korean War (June 1950 - July 1953), the United States employed the name of the U.N. in inveigling huge forces of satellite states into the war along with its forces.

26 Choe Thae-bok, the chairman of the SPA, meets with German Ambassador to the DPRK Gerhard Thiedemann, who paid a farewell call on him at the Mansudae Assembly Hall.

26 Kim Yong-nam sends a message of greeting to Ismail Omar Guelleh, the president of Djibouti, on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of its independence.

26 Mass rallies take place in the South Phyongan, South Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces on the occasion of June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism.
