Probe results for NK drones

SEOUL, May 14 (Yonhap) -- A suspected unmanned aerial vehicle was found on a mountain near Seoul, officers here said Wednesday, days after the South held North Korea responsible for a trio of drones found in border regions.

An unidentified civilian discovered the vehicle on Mount Cheonggye in the city of Gwacheon, just southeast of Seoul, and reported it to the authorities, according to Seoul's military officers.

"On Tuesday, the hiker found the blue vehicle, the same color as the drones sent from the North, and then he reported it first to the police at around 8 a.m. today," a military officer said, requesting anonymity.

"Further investigation is needed to confirm if it was sent from North Korea," he said, citing a poor-quality picture taken by the civilian with a cell phone. "We sent a team to retrieve and inspect it."

Three drones 'all from N. Korea'

Last week, Seoul's defense ministry said that the three drones found near the inter-Korean border in March and April were sent from North Korea, though the communist country has flatly denied any involvement.
