SEOUL, Dec. 30 (Yonhap) -- The Kia Tigers in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced Tuesday they've acquired American right-hander Josh Stinson.

The Tigers said they inked the former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher to a one-year deal worth US$500,000.

The 26-year-old has appeared in 39 games over the past four big league seasons with three different clubs. In 2014, he pitched in eight games for the Baltimore Orioles, posting a 6.23 ERA with no win-loss record.

In the minors, Stinson went 53-60 in 267 appearances with a 4.09 ERA.

The Tigers became the latest KBO team to fill their foreign player quota for next season. They earlier signed former big league pitcher Philip Humber and re-signed infielder Brett Pill for a second season.
