SEOUL, Oct. 11 (Yonhap) -- The Doosan Bears defeated the Nexen Heroes 3-2 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in their best-of-five first-round playoff series at the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) on Sunday.

Left-hander Jang Won-jun tossed six effective innings for his first postseason win as a starter and the bullpen took care of business at home, Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. The Bears now sit one win away from reaching the next round in the KBO postseason.

Game 3 will be at the Heroes' home, Mokdong Stadium in Seoul, on Tuesday.

Only twice has a team rallied from a 2-0 series deficit to win the first round series in the KBO: the last to do so were the 2013 Bears, who came from behind to eliminate the Heroes.

With Nexen starter Ryan Feierabend able to find the zone early, the Bears got on board in the bottom of the first. The American left-hander issued three walks and hit a batter while throwing 40 pitches, the third walk coming with the bases loaded.

The Heroes tied things up in the second on Kim Ha-seong's RBI single to center.

The Bears went up by one again in the bottom second, as Hur Kyong-min hit a single to left for a 2-1 advantage. In the seesaw affair, Nexen catcher Park Dong-won hit a solo home run off Feierabend to knot the score at 2-2, leaving yard for the second time in as many games.

The Bears got to new pitcher Ha Yeong-min with two hits and a walk to load the bases. Reliever Son Seung-lak came on for some damage control, but Oh Jae-won hit a sacrifice fly to make it 3-2 Doosan.

After a 33-minute rain delay in the top of the eighth, the Heroes put men at second and third with one out with the heart of their lineup due.

No. 3 hitter Lee Taek-keun popped out to short. Cleanup Park Byung-ho, he of 53 regular season home runs, was intentionally walked, before Yoo Han-joon flied out to right to end the Heroes' last rally.

Lee Hyun-seung, who earned the victory out of the bullpen in Game 1, got the final four outs for the save.
