SEJONG, Jan. 18 (Yonhap) -- Ford Sales and Service Korea, the local importer and distributor of U.S. automaker Ford Motor Co., is recalling 252 Fusion sedans for fuel line issues, the transportation ministry said Monday.

The model's canister purge valve, which is responsible for sending fuel vapor to the engine for combustion, might function improperly and cause a fuel leak that would lead to a fire, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport,

The problem has been identified in 252 Ford Fusions produced between Jan. 19, 2011, and Feb. 28, 2011.

Free repair services will be available from Monday at any Ford service center throughout the country.

The ministry also said the local importers of Ferraris are recalling five California T sports cars produced between Sept. 15, 2015 and Sept. 16, 2015 for a defect in the braking system.
