Hyundai Mobis Q4 net edges up despite tough market
SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Mobis Co., South Korea's top auto parts maker, said Wednesday that its fourth-quarter net rose 1.5 percent from a year earlier despite tough overseas market conditions.
Net profit stood at 862.3 billion won (US$552 million) in the October-December period, compared with a profit of 849.7 billion won a year earlier, the company said in its regulatory filing.
Operating profit, however, fell 3.5 percent on-year to 867.2 billion won, while sales expanded 5 percent to 9.9 trillion won, it said.
For all of 2015, net income fell 11.4 percent to 3.1 trillion won, with operating profit also shedding 6.6 percent to 2.9 trillion won.
Shares of Hyundai Mobis were trading at 252,500 won on the Seoul bourse as of 11:47 a.m., up 3.7 percent from a day earlier.
