Daewoo E&C targets 12.2 tln won in orders this year
SEOUL, Jan. 29 (Yonhap) -- Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., a major construction firm in South Korea, will push to secure 12.2 trillion won (US$10.17 billion) worth of orders this year, company officials said Friday.
The target, which was unveiled at a workshop held on Thursday along with other business objectives, was lower than the previous year’s 13.07 trillion won, according to them.
Daewoo E&C also set its annual sales target for 2016 at 11.17 trillion won, up from the nearly 10 trillion won reported for the previous year, they said.
On Wednesday, Daewoo E&C reported a net income of 146.2 billion won, up 8.4 percent from 2014, with operating profits shrinking 19.5 percent to 334.6 billion won. Its sales inched up 0.3 percent to 9.9 trillion won.
