BigBang to launch China tour in March
SEOUL, Feb. 5 (Yonhap) -- South Korean boy band BigBang will embark on a tour in China next month after its concerts there drew tens of thousands of people last year, its agency said Friday.
Starting with Shanghai from March 11-12, this year's tour will take them to eight cities, including Shenzen, Zhenzhou, Hefei and Hangzhou, YG Entertainment said, adding the concerts in Shanghai will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
The 2016 BigBang MADE [V.I.P.] Tour will probably gather up around 182,000 people, the agency said.
Last year, a similar number of people attended the group's concerts in 11 Chinese cities, which were part of its world tour to promote its singles. These songs, released serially over four months, culminated in its latest album "MADE."
This time, the group will prepare games and other activities to entertain its fans, the agency said.
