SEOUL, Feb. 23 (Yonhap) -- South Korean R&B singer-songwriter Dean will be the first Asian artist to join "Spotify House," a main at global music festival South by Southwest, his star label Universal Music Korea said on Tuesday.

The Korean heartthrob will perform in the Spotify House in Austin, Texas, at 2:15 p.m. on March 15, the second day of the annual international music and film festival SXSW. Performances on the Spotify stage are set to run from March 14-18.

Dean will be the fifth act of a 10-artist lineup, including Miguel, Anderson .Paak, Porches and TOTEM. This year's Spotify House is hosted by American stand-up comedian and actor Hannibal Buress.

Spotify House is a concert hosted by Spotify, the world's largest Swedish commercial music streaming, podcast and video service provider. Every year, Spotify organizes Spotify House concerts as part of its participation in SXSW.

Dean first came to the limelight as a 16-year-old hip-hop star alongside the mighty Keith Ape. By the age of 18, he wrote hits for K-pop stars. Some of his hits include "I'm Not Sorry" and "Put My Hands On You."

Dean's U.S. debut EP "I'm Not Sorry" came in July 2015, and his Korean debut in October of the same year.
