(LEAD) Yonhap CEO Park No-hwang wins award from alumni association

SEOUL, Feb. 29 (Yonhap) -- The head of South Korea's key wire service Yonhap News Agency received the "Proud Alumni" award from the alumni association of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies on Monday.
Yonhap CEO Park No-hwang was given the distinguished graduate award for 2016 in a ceremony held at the alumni association's meeting at Lotte Hotel in central Seoul, along with Ko Dae-young, the head of South Korea's public broadcaster KBS, and Oh Kyun, the first vice minister of the Office for Government Policy Coordination.
Park graduated from the country's leading university of foreign languages and regional studies with an English major in 1981 before joining Yonhap News Agency.
The award has been given every year to alumni who enhance the status of the university and the alumni association.
