South Korea-China co-produced drama for kids to show on EBS
SEOUL, Feb. 29 (Yonhap) -- An action drama for children on the saga of ancient China will be aired on a key South Korean TV channel starting this week, the channel said Monday.
Co-produced by South Korea and China, the blockbuster drama named "Legend Hero" will be shown every Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. on the Educational Broadcasting Station (EBS). China Film Animation is a co-producer of EBS.
The historic drama has been filmed with special effects at the production expense of some 7 billion won (US$5.65 million), according to EBS.
The 50-episode drama, with each episode lasting about 30 minutes, is about the warfare and romance of heroes during the era of three kingdoms (Samgukji in Korean and Sanguoshi in Chinese) some 1,800 years ago in China.
An EBS official said the drama will show spectacular scenes that can rarely be seen in the existing TV series.
The drama depicts a dream battle among heroes fighting to possess a heavenly seal, from which any possessor's dream will be realized in the end.
