Song Joong-ki models cosmetic brand
SEOUL, April 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korean top actor Song Joong-ki has been tapped as the new model for local cosmetic brand "Forencos," his talent agency said on Tuesday.
The Pangyo-based cosmetic company, also named Forencos, picked Song for his "aura of perfection and congeniality built through his lead role in KBS's mega-hit television series "Descendants of the Sun," on top of his trademark clean and earnest image, Blossom Entertainment said in a press release.
The South Korean cosmetics maker expects that the top Korean actor will spur the brand's operations at home and abroad. The company said with Song as its new face, it could make inroads into some 10 overseas cosmetic markets, including China and the United States.
Song is slated to set out on an Asia tour to meet his fans starting Sunday.
