SEOUL, May 23 (Yonhap) -- Two-time U.S. climbing champion Sierra Blair-Coyle has successfully completed the daredevil stunt of scaling a 33-story skyscraper using only an LG Electronics cordless vacuum cleaner, the Korean electronics maker said Monday.

The 22-year-old female climber carried two LG Cord Zero Cykings on her back and used their suction power to climb the 140-meter-tall building in Songdo, west of Seoul, on April 27.

"When I first heard about this project, I thought, 'Is it even possible?'" Coyle said in the two-minute video posted on Youtube. "But now I'm totally inspired by this challenge."

LG Electronics said it conducted the experiment with help of the professional climber to prove the strong suction power of the cordless vacuum cleaner and to "think outside the box."

The company said the experiment proved the two vacuum cleaners were enough to support about 70 kg, a weight that includes the climber and two cleaners.

The Cord Zero Cyking is equipped with an inverter motor and lithium-ion battery by LG Chem, with a maximum suction power of 200 watts, it said.
