SEOUL, May 25 (Yonhap) -- Actor Shin Sung-rok, best known for his role in the mega-hit television series "My Love From the Star," will tie the knot with an office worker in July, his agency confirmed on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old actor and musical star will marry "an ordinary office worker who works for an ordinary company" in mid-July, BH Entertainment revealed, asking for privacy for the non-celebrity bride.

The wedding will be a closed wedding that invites only the couple's families and closest friends.

The entertainment company has not disclosed further details about the event.

Debuted in 2003 with the SBS television series "Shooting the Stars," Shin has built a career on both the small screen and the musical stage.

Shin became a globally recognized actor with the tremendous success of MBC's television rom-com series "My Love From the Star," broadcast from December 2013 to February 2014. In the show, the South Korean charmer played the lead supporting character Lee Jae-kyung, the sociopath heir of a business tycoon who tries to kill the supernatural protagonist Do Min-joon, played by actor Kim Soo-hyun, and the heroine Cheon Song-yi, played by actress Jun Ji-hyun.

Shin is currently co-starring in the musical "Mata Hari" with singer-actress Ock Joo-hyun. He nabbed the lead male character Ladu, the charming head of the French Secret Service.

"Mata Hari" is set to run from March 29 through June 12.
