SEOUL, June 10 (Yonhap) -- Oh Seung-hwan of the St. Louis Cardinals has picked up his second relief win of the season.

The South Korean reliever was credited with the victory after throwing one scoreless inning against the Cincinnati Reds in Cincinnati on Thursday (local time). The right-hander relieved starter Adam Wainwright to start the seventh inning with the score knotted at 2-2, and the Cardinals scored the go-ahead run in the top eighth for the victory.

Oh also extended his scoreless innings streak to 8 1/3 innings. He hasn't allowed a run in his past eight outings since getting touched for three runs in an inning against the Chicago Cubs on May 25.

Against the Reds, Oh retired Jay Bruce on a flyout to right, and struck out Adam Duvall looking. Eugenio Suarez then grounded out to third, as Oh needed just 15 pitches to get through the inning.

The South Korean rookie earned his first big league win on April 10 against the Atlanta Braves.

Oh lowered his ERA from 1.71 to 1.65.
