N. Korea threatens 'physical action' against THAAD deployment
SEOUL, July 11 (Yonhap) -- North Korea on Monday warned it will take "physical action" against South Korea and the United States over the allies' decision to deploy an advanced U.S. missile defense system in South Korea.
North Korea's military said it will strike the moment the two countries decide on where to place the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system in South Korea, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
It marked the communist country's first reaction to the decision reached on Friday to set up the system in South Korea, where about 28,500 U.S. soldiers are stationed.
