SEOUL, July 14 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's weather agency said Thursday it has detected a magnitude 2.8 earthquake in waters off the southeastern industrial city of Ulsan.

The quake took place at around 10:31 p.m. in waters 86 kilometers southeast of the coastal city, the Korea Meteorological Administration said.

The quake has not resulted in any damage, it said.

It was the second quake that has been reported in the area in July.

No casualties or damage were reported in the previous tremor.
