SEOUL, Aug. 30 (Yonhap) -- St. Louis Cardinals South Korean closer Oh Seung-hwan has picked up his 14th save of the season.

Oh tossed a perfect ninth inning against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park in Milwaukee on Monday (local time), preserving the Cards' 6-5 victory.

The right-hander blew his previous save opportunity against the Oakland Athletics on Saturday, but bounced back to retire the side in order against the Brewers.

The Cardinals blew an early 2-0 lead and trailed 5-3 through seven. They tied things up at 5-5 in the top eighth and got the go-ahead run in the top ninth, setting the stage for Oh.

Oh retired Scooter Gennett on a soft grounder to first, and struck out Ryan Braun swinging on a 2-2 slider.

The South Korean then fanned Hernan Perez on a 1-2 slider to end the game.

Oh lowered his ERA from 1.75 to 1.72. He's among the National League leaders with 65 appearances and 68 innings pitched in relief.
