Mirae Asset Life Insurance pushing to acquire local unit of British insurer Prudential

SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- Mirae Asset Life Insurance Co., said Friday that it is pushing to buy a stake in PCA Life Insurance Co., a local unit of Britain's largest insurer Prudential Plc.
Still, the insurance unit of South Korea's asset managing giant Mirae Asset Financial Group said "no specific decision has been made" in a regulatory filing.
PCA Life Insurance said it has assets worth 5 trillion won (US$4.4 billion) and has about 350 employees in South Korea.
