VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- Dozens of South Korean firms took part in one-on-one business talks mostly with Russian companies in Vladivostok, where they struck 12 deals worth US$213 million, Seoul's presidential office Cheong Wa Dae said Saturday.

The session was held after President Park Geun-hye arrived in the Russian Far East port city on Friday to attend an economic forum and a summit with her Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

A total of 31 South Korean firms, including two hospitals, participated in the talks where 90 companies, mostly from Russia, explored potential business cooperation.

Companies engaged in a total of 154 counseling sessions, Cheong Wa Dae said.

Among them was a South Korean firm specializing in the installment of a bus fare payment system. The firm signed an arrangement with the Vladivostok municipality, Seoul officials said.

Seoul's justice ministry set up a booth to offer on-site legal advice during the business meeting session.
