SEOUL, Sept. 8 (Yonhap) -- Kang Jung-ho of the Pittsburgh Pirates has homered for the second straight game.

Kang launched his 17th home run off Alex Reyes of the St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park in Pittsburgh on Wednesday (local time). The solo shot in the bottom of the eighth inning broke the 3-3 tie, and the Pirates hung on to win 4-3 to snap their eight-game losing streak.

Kang had hit two home runs Tuesday against the Cards, including one off of fellow South Korean, Oh Seung-hwan. The Pirates' third baseman hit 15 home runs in 126 games last year as a rookie and has 17 in 80 games in 2016.

He went 3-for-4 with two RBIs to raise his batting average from .249 to .257.
