N. Korean soldier crosses border to defect to S. Korea: military

SEOUL, Sept. 29 (Yonhap) -- A North Korean soldier on Thursday defected to South Korea after crossing the military demarcation line bisecting the two Koreas, Seoul's military said.
He crossed the border at around 10 a.m. and defected to the South, according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
"Our military is questioning the soldier to determine why he defected," it said.
