SEOUL, Oct. 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korea and Britain will hold a consultation meeting this week to discuss policy cooperation to better cope with hacking and growing threats in cyberspace, the foreign ministry in Seoul said Monday.

The Cyber Policy Consultation will be held on Tuesday in the South Korean capital, with delegations led by International Security Affairs Ambassador Shin Maeng-ho and his British counterpart Sarah Taylor, according to the ministry.

Both will exchange their views on the latest cybersecurity conditions, strategies and policies, and cooperation to better respond to ever-growing cyberspace dangers, the ministry said.

The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by South Korea to seek global cooperation on cyberspace policymaking. The Seoul government has been holding such consultation meetings with 11 countries, including the United States, China and Japan.
