SEOUL, Oct. 13 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co. said Thursday it has opened 10 stores in Bangladesh to sell its super-ultra high-definition TVs with quantum dot technology.

The Samsung stores in Bangladesh will allow visitors to understand how the company's quantum dot display technology functions, Samsung said in a statement.

By the end of the year, Samsung will open about 190 more stores in Bangladesh, according to the statement.

Quantum dot TVs offer better picture quality and cheaper manufacturing costs than organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs.

With a population of 160 million, Bangladesh has achieved an annual economic growth of between 6 and 7 percent since 2010, Samsung said.
