SEOUL, Dec. 4 (Yonhap) -- Daesung of the South Korean boy band BigBang will hold his first solo dome tour in Japan in April, his management agency said Sunday.

The 27-year-old will kick off the tour at Seibu Prince Dome in Saitama, Japan, where he will hold two concerts on April 15 and 16 before moving on to the Kyocera Dome in Osaka for concerts on April 22 and 23, according to YG Entertainment.

Dome tours are considered a mark of success in Japan. As a group, BigBang has held a number of such tours, including one currently under way in four cities across the island nation.

Daesung will be the second member after G-Dragon to hold his own dome tour, which is expected to draw about 200,000 fans, the agency said.

Since his solo debut in Japan in 2014, the singer has reached No. 2 on the Japanese Oricon Albums Weekly Chart with his first album "D'scover" and No. 1 on the Oricon Albums Daily Chart with his second album "D'slove."

In 2013, Daesung drew 100,000 fans on his first solo concert tour in Japan, which was held in 20 cities, and 170,000 fans during a separate tour across eight cities last year.
