Interpark begins to sell Mazda, Fiat vehicles
SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Yonhap) -- Online shopping mall Interpark Corp. said Wednesday it has begun selling Mazda and Fiat vehicles, becoming the third South Korean online retailer to sell automobiles after TMON and Auction.
The Mazda MX-5 Miata sports coupe and the Fiat 124 Spider Classica roadster are available on Interpark for 57.5 million won (US$47,662) and 54.5 million won, respectively, the retailer said.
Jaguar vehicles were sold on TMON in August last year and 10 units of Chevrolet's new Aveo vehicles were available on Auction the following month.
"We've established double and triple safety measures to get rid of the inconvenience and fraud we face when we purchase foreign vehicles whose official dealers are not here," said Cho Jin-hyuck, chief of Interpark's consumer electronics section. "We are planning to sell a variety of more new automotive models to meet the market and consumer needs."
