SEOUL, Feb. 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korean companies won US$7.21 billion in orders in cooperation with the country's overseas missions last year, the foreign ministry said Wednesday.

Korean missions got involved in 25.6 percent of the $28.2 billion overseas construction deals clinched by Korean builders in 2016, up from the previous year's 14.3 percent, according to the ministry.

The projects included an LNG terminal project in Kuwait and a runway construction work at a Hong Kong airport.
