SEOUL, Feb. 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korean people want foreign trips more than domestic ones, with Japan picked as the most popular destination, a survey showed Friday.

In the poll by Skyscanner, a travel-related website, 92 percent of the respondents said they have plans for overseas travel.

It conducted the survey of 1,668 people, aged 19 or older, recently.

Japan topped the list of venues they hope to visit at 20 percent, followed by the U.S., Thailand, Taiwan and Spain.

Among local tourist spots, Jeju was the most popular, trailed by Busan, Tongyeong and Jeonju.
