WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 (Yonhap) -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that North Korea's nuclear and missile threats represent a "very very high priority" for him.

Trump made the remark during a joint news conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the White House after summit talks. He pledged to work closely with Tokyo to tackle a series of challenges the two allies face.

"We will worked together to promote our shared interests, of which we have many, in the region, including freedom for navigation and defending against the North Korean missile and nuclear threats, both of which I consider a "very very high priority," Trump said.
