SEOUL, Feb. 14 (Yonhap) -- South Korean striker Suk Hyun-jun has joined Hungarian club Debrecen on loan from Portuguese side FC Porto.

Debrecen, currently 10th in top-tier OTP Bank Liga, announced on Tuesday (Korean time) they have signed Suk on loan until the end of this season. This is Suk's second loan spell since he moved to Porto last year.

Suk joined Porto from fellow Portuguese club Vitoria Setubal in January 2016, but in August he was loaned to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor for a year. However, the 28-year-old failed to impress at Trabzonspor, as he scored just one goal in 16 matches.

Trabzonspor eventually decided to terminate the loan deal with Suk and the striker had to return to Porto last month.

Suk was linked with French side Bastia and South Korean clubs in this winter transfer window, but he failed to land a contract.

Debrecen is Suk's ninth club in his career. The striker made his pro debut in 2009 with Dutch giants AFC Ajax and went on to play for FC Groningen. He also had stints with Portuguese clubs Maritimo and Nacional, as well as Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli.
