SEOUL, March 23 (Yonhap) -- Girl group T-ara will see two of its members -- Soyeon and Boram -- leave in May after releasing a new album, the team's agency said Thursday.

"Contracts for Soyeon and Boram will end on May 15," MBK Entertainment said, explaining that the two will participate in promotional activities and concerts until the end of June.

Four remaining members -- Qri, Eunjung, Hyomin and Jiyeon -- have decided to extend their contracts until the end of the year. The album, the last under the current member line up, will be out on May 17.

Since its debut in 2009 with EP "Lies," T-ara has hit the bull's eye with 12 EPs, including the latest, "Memories." Some of its greatest hits include "Bo Peep Bo Peep," "Roly Poly" and "Lovey Dovey."

The girl group went through its greatest crisis when its member, Hwayoung, left the group amid rumors that she was victimized by her teammates' bullying. The incident caused T-ara members to drop out of television shows and other entertainment arrangements, and eventually to seek a broader market outside the country.
