SK Telecom most well-paid among S. Korean mobile carriers
SEOUL, April 1 (Yonhap) -- Employees at South Korea's top mobile carrier SK Telecom Co. are the highest paid in the industry here, data showed Saturday.
According to a regulatory filing, the average annual pay of employees at SK Telecom came to 102 million won (US$91,193) last year.
The figure exceeds the 76 million won of KT Corp. and the 72 million won of LG Uplus Corp.
Workers at the No. 2 player KT have worked on average 19.7 years at their company, above the 11.9 years by SK Telecom and the 7.2 years by LG Uplus, respectively, industry data also showed.
Among portal operators, No. 1 player Naver Corp. provided an average paycheck of 70 million won to its workers, followed by its smaller rival Kakao Corp. at 76 million won.
