Moon-Ahn gap shrinks to 3 pct points: survey
SEOUL, April 7 (Yonhap) -- Runner-up presidential hopeful Ahn Cheol-soo of the center-left People's Party further narrowed his gap with front-runner Moon Jae-in to only 3 percentage points in a hypothetical multiple-candidate race, a survey showed Friday.
In the weekly survey, conducted between Tuesday and Thursday by local pollster Gallup Korea, Ahn garnered a support rating of 35 percent, slightly behind Moon of the largest Democratic Party who has topped the polls for more than three months.
South Gyeongsang Province Gov. Hong Joon-pyo of the conservative Liberty Korea Party came in second with 7 percent, followed by Rep. Yoo Seong-min of the splinter Bareun Party with 4 percent and Rep. Sim Sang-jeong of the far-left Justice Party with 3 percent.
