Korean Air plane's cockpit briefly catches fire: reports

TOKYO, June 9 (Yonhap) -- A fire briefly occurred in the cockpit of a South Korean passenger airplane when it was landing at Japan's Fukuoka airport Friday, local media reports showed.

The plane run by South Korea's flag carrier Korean Air Lines Co. was carrying 153 passengers and nine crew members when it landed at Fukuoka airport around 10:22 a.m., according to the reports.

Firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving a report that the cockpit had caught fire. All passengers safely got off the plane, and there have been no reports of injuries or damage.
