President set to appoint new foreign minister: official

SEOUL, June 18 (Yonhap) -- President Moon Jae-in was set to appoint his new foreign minister later Sunday, an official from the presidential office said.
A ceremony for the appointment of Kang Kyung-wha as the new top diplomat was to be held at 2 p.m. at the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae.
The appointment comes after the parliament failed to issue a report on the outcome of its confirmation hearing for Kang, held June 7.
