Sim Jae-young wins gold for S. Korea's first medal at taekwondo worlds

MUJU, South Korea, June 25 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Sim Jae-young won a gold for her country's first medal at taekwondo's biennial world championships on Sunday.
Sim defeated Thi Kim Tuyen Truong of Vietnam 18-9 to take the women's under-46kg title at the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) World Taekwondo Championships at Taekwondowon's T1 Arena in Muju, 240 kilometers south of Seoul.
This was the first world title for the 21-year-old. In her world championships debut two years ago in Chelyabinsk, Russia, Sim was eliminated in the round of 16.
