Magnitude-6.0 quake detected off N. Korea's east coast: report

WASHINGTON, July 12 (Yonhap) -- A magnitude-6.0 earthquake was detected off North Korea's east coast Thursday (local time), Reuters quoted the U.S. Geological Survey as saying.
The tremor occurred some 200 kilometers southeast of the North Korean city of Chongjin at a depth of 560 kilometers below the seabed, it said.
