Korean Air to end Houston route on losses

All Headlines 09:41 September 16, 2017

SEOUL, Sept. 16 (Yonhap) -- Korean Air, South Korea's biggest carrier, plans to end its route from Incheon International Airport to Houston next month due to losses on a decline in passengers.

According to the transport ministry and Korean Air on Saturday, the airline decided to close its KE029 and KE030 flights between Incheon and Houston on Oct. 13.

Korean Air launched the Incheon-Houston route in 2014 to run seven times a week. With the number of passengers dwindling, it cut the number of flights to three times a week from October last year.

Korean Air is awaiting the ministry's approval to end the Incheon-Houston route.
