SEOUL, Dec. 10 (Yonhap) -- SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won called on prospective business leaders to be innovative and responsible when they join companies during a recent meeting with a group of soon-to-be graduates, the conglomerate said Sunday.

During the meeting with students who just finished the Master of Business Administration at the Seoul campus of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Chey asked them to "become businessmen who seek both social and economic values while helping resolve social issues with an innovative mind."

As the society is now more connected and social issues are more complicated, what is required from businessmen is not the same as in the past, he said.

This year, SK Group has pushed forward the Deep Change 2.0 across the telecom-to-semiconductor conglomerate as a "new business theme" to be sought by executives and employees, the company said.
