BOK chief to attend meeting of Southeast Asian central bank governors

SEOUL, Dec. 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's central bank chief is set to leave for Thailand this week to meet with his counterparts from Southeast Asian countries, the Bank of Korea (BOK) said Wednesday.

BOK Gov. Lee Ju-yeol plans to attend the 53rd governors conference and the 37th annual meeting of the Southeast Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) to be held from Friday to Sunday in Bangkok, Thailand, according to the BOK.

He is set to return home next Tuesday.

SEACEN was founded in 1966 to exchange information and ideas on matters affecting the economies and financial systems of member countries in the region.
