SEOUL, March 16 (Yonhap) -- South Korea and the United States will announce early next week a plan to conduct their delayed annual joint military exercises, government officials said Friday,

The two countries delayed the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle drills until after the PyeongChang Paralympics.

"We will officially unveil the schedules of the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle drills next week," an official said.

Military officials said the Foal Eagle field exercise will begin early next month for a roughly one-month run. The exercises have been conducted over two months in the past.

The Key Resolve drill, involving computer simulation, will last for two weeks from mid-April as before.

U.S. strategic assets, such as B-1B bomber or nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, will not be mobilized this year, according to the officials.
