SEOUL, June 3 (Yonhap) -- The United States and North Korea held a fourth round of working-level talks on Sunday in preparation for their summit later this month, sources here said.

The U.S. delegation, led by Sung Kim, U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, held talks with the North's team, led by Pyongyang's Vice Foreign Minister, Choe Son-hui, in the border village of Panmunjom. The two sides met in the same place last Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday.

U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un are scheduled to meet for a historic summit on June 12 in Singapore.

According to the sources, the latest summit prep meeting was scheduled for a 2 p.m. start. But it could have been delayed, as the U.S. delegation left its Seoul hotel around 1:10 p.m.

In his meeting with South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha on Friday, Kim said the consultations with North Korea were "moving in the right direction" but there was still "much work left before the proposed summit."
