Hancom MDS partners with NVIDIA

SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- An affiliate of South Korean software maker Hancom Inc. said Monday that it has partnered with U.S. tech company NVIDIA to move ahead in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector.

Under the preferred partner agreement, the California-based company that has expertise in autonomous driving and AI will provide its AI solution to Hancom MDS.

Hancom MDS will be able to use NVIDIA's autonomous driving platform, NVIDIA Drive PX2, and AI computing platform, NVIDIA Jetson, in its products.

"Hancom MDS will expand its businesses by incorporating solutions in big data, robots and the Internet of Things (IoT) with NVIDIA's AI platform," Hancom CEO Chang Myung-sub said.

Furthermore, HANCOM MDS was selected as a partner for NVIDIA's deep learning institute, the company said.
