(US-NK summit) Moon, Trump vow close coordination after Kim meeting

SINGAPORE, June 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to closely coordinate their steps following the latter's historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, the White House said Tuesday.

The two leaders spoke by phone a day earlier to discuss recent developments ahead of the summit slated for 9 a.m. on Sentosa Island, Singapore.

They "vowed to continue their close coordination" after the meeting, the White House said in a statement.
