Polish berry recalled for containing radioactive material

SEOUL, June 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's food and drug safety authorities said Tuesday they will collect an organic berry product imported from Poland because it contains radioactive material.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said lingonberries produced by Karelia and imported by Bomoon Trading have been found to contain caesium and will be subject to a full recall.

"A re-test showed that the product contained caesium that exceeds set safety standards," the ministry said, adding that there was a mistake in the initial testing.
