GS E&C wins $107 mln bridge deal in Tanzania

SEOUL, July 24 (Yonhap) -- GS Engineering & Construction Co. said Tuesday it won a US$107 million order to build a bridge in Tanzania by 2021.

The builder secured the deal from the Tanzania National Roads Agency to build the 6.23 kilometer-long New Selander Bridge, the company said in a statement.

The Economic Development Cooperation Fund, a South Korean fund set up in 1987 to financially support social overhead capital projects in developing markets, will extend a loan of $91 million to support the project, it said.
